Emotion over arrangement
The best frames of a wedding are rarely arranged. My job is to be present, patient and ready when they happen.
About
M. Aruldass — Founder, Photographer and Visual Storyteller
The Story
I started photographing people long before I photographed weddings. What pulled me in was never the décor or the stage — it was the way a mother looks at her daughter when nobody is watching, or the relief on a groom’s face when the ceremony finally begins.
Growing up around Vellore, I watched Tamil weddings as a participant first. That matters more than any equipment list. Knowing when the thaali is tied, when the elders will bless the couple, when the room will go quiet — that knowledge is what lets a photographer stop chasing and start anticipating.
Arul Impressions grew out of that instinct. Over time it became something more structured: a coordinated team, a consistent editing signature, and delivery systems that couples can actually rely on. I care about all three equally, because a beautiful photograph delivered late, or a gallery that looks different from frame to frame, quietly breaks the trust a family placed in you.
My long-term goal is simple — for someone to recognise an Arul Impressions photograph before they read the name on it. Not because of a filter, but because of how honestly the people in it were seen.
A personal note from the founder, written in his own words, will be added here.
Philosophy
The best frames of a wedding are rarely arranged. My job is to be present, patient and ready when they happen.
Tamil weddings have an order and a meaning. I learn each family's customs before the day so the camera never interrupts a ritual.
One considered colour treatment across every image, with skin tones kept natural rather than lightened or over-warmed.
Backed-up files, briefed teams, written timelines. Craft means nothing if the delivery is uncertain.
The Team
Photographers, cinematographers and assistants who know the plan before they arrive. Team profiles will be added here.
